AMBASSADORS

Ronny Roskosch

Maritime Experience

Ronny Roskosch is a seasoned maritime professional with over 30 years of international experience in yachting, commercial shipping, diving, and watersports operations. Born and raised in Germany, his lifelong passion for the sea led him from hands-on deck and diving work to senior command roles, earning a Master Mariner license and professional yacht captaincy. He has worked globally — Europe, the USA, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas — in roles ranging from commercial diver and scuba instructor to superyacht captain and resort owner. His experience combines technical expertise, leadership, and operational responsibility, always prioritising safety, efficiency, and reliability at sea.

Yacht Trace Experience

Ronny has used YachtTrace TM01 in operational conditions and finds it fast, simple, and reliable. His first installation took less than an hour with no complex wiring, and he appreciates the intuitive interface, real-time oversight, geofencing, and instant alerts that avoid constant alarms when a tender is being towed. “The system is very reasonably priced and provides useful support for insurance allowances along with preventing loss”.
“It’s technology is designed by people who understand real maritime operations.”

Personal interests and leadership

Beyond his ambassador role, Ronny combines deep operational knowledge with leadership and strategic planning. He is a PADI/SSI Master Instructor and DQI Freediving Course Director, with experience owning and managing diving resorts and yacht charter operations. Known for discipline, precision, and a solutions-focused mindset, he excels at leading professional teams and ensuring high standards onboard.
In his free time, Ronny is a passionate diver, underwater photographer, and freediver. He enjoys seabob and shark diving, exploring new destinations, sailing, motorsports, golf (handicap 8.2), mountain biking, skydiving, and international cuisine.
As a proud YachtTrace ambassador, Ronny continues to advocate for practical, reliable maritime technology that enhances safety, situational awareness, and operational efficiency in modern yacht operations worldwide.

Bryan Antill

Maritime Experience

Captain Bryan Antill is an experienced superyacht captain commanding the 44.8 m luxury motor yacht Surina, built by Trident and offering refined charter experiences throughout the Caribbean. Surina accommodates up to 10 guests in five suites with a professional crew of eight, delivering bespoke voyages across the region’s iconic waters.
Bryan has served as Captain of Surina since November 2014, bringing a long tenure of leadership and operational excellence to the vessel. His extensive maritime background includes commanding yachts and commercial vessels, ensuring guest comfort, safety, and seamless onboard operations.
Known for his deep practical experience, calm leadership, and commitment to high standards at sea, Bryan oversees all aspects of Surina’s operations — from navigation and safety to crew management and guest service. Under his command, Surina continues to deliver exceptional charter experiences in some of the world’s most desirable cruising grounds.

Yacht Trace Experience

Bryan was the first purchaser of Yacht Trace and put the system through its paces in real operational conditions. As an experienced engineer with a naturally investigative approach, Bryan tested the system to its limits. We often say “thank goodness for Bryan”, as his feedback not only proved our new invention worked, but also helped us refine and improve it. We greatly appreciate the leap of faith he made and all his efforts in helping us become a success — his insight and hands-on testing have been truly invaluable. He really stands behind our product and thinks it will be a success! Thank you Bryan!

Personal interests and leadership

Bryan’s passion for the sea began early — at age twelve, he started working on his stepfather’s lobster boat, and by nineteen he was captain of a fishing boat himself. Apart from a two-year break to backpack through Europe and Africa, he has been at sea ever since. Bryan transitioned from fishing and commercial vessels to yachts in 2001, and since then has held the roles of both captain and chief engineer on different vessels.
Beyond his professional role, Bryan enjoys travelling and spending quality time with his wife and children, visiting destinations in the Bahamas and attending yacht shows in the US. He has a passion for good food, jetboating, rugby, staying connected with life-long colleagues, and pursuing hands-on projects in engineering and innovation.

Dr. Dan Rogers started as an Electrician in 1997. He graduated from Loughborough University (BEng Hons) in 2003 and after a variety of posts, completed his PhD in 2014.

Dr Dan has evolved with experience of MW scale Lithium-Ion systems for energy storage, tracking and monitoring of tenders, Unmanned Ground Vehicles, Automotive ECU integration, Smart Appliances and Intelligent Traffic Management Systems – all from a variety of industries. Dr Dan also was instrumental in founding a centre for research into electrical energy for storage & applications, which involved novel control of a range of energy storage systems. He is currently researching and testing exciting new concepts.

Dr Dan has specialised in advanced embedded control/communications and battery management systems. After working with a number of Superyachts delivering monitoring solutions for tenders and chase boats, Dan together with Deborah Fry founded Yacht Trace, a company specialising in bespoke hardware and software solutions within the Superyacht Industry.

Partners

Yacht Trace and Liiontek have joined forces to support the rapid shift toward electric and hybrid tenders by combining advanced tender-monitoring technology with industry-leading lithium-ion safety systems. This collaboration brings together Yacht Trace’s two-way RF monitoring, long-range towing protection, and onboard health data with Liiontek’s early-warning lithium-ion fire-detection and suppression expertise. The result is a smarter, safer, and more technically capable solution for tenders running high-capacity battery systems.

As electric and hybrid propulsion becomes more common on superyachts, so does the need for precise, reliable oversight of charging, battery behaviour, and safety-critical conditions. The joint approach allows captains and engineers to track key operational data — battery states, off-gassing alerts, bilge activity, and more — while benefiting from Liiontek’s proven lithium-ion mitigation tools used across the marine industry. Integrated together, these systems help address the growing safety and insurance considerations surrounding lithium-powered tenders, especially during charging, towing and use.

This partnership also makes futureproof tender setups easier to implement. Yacht Trace’s plug-and-play installation and non-invasive hardware design allow electric and hybrid tenders to be upgraded quickly, while Liiontek’s detection and suppression systems add an extra technical layer of protection without disrupting a yacht’s existing infrastructure. For owners and captains adopting greener propulsion, the collaboration delivers a powerful blend of monitoring, control, and lithium battery safety engineered for modern superyacht operations.
